Our Spring Meeting is a great chance to catch up with news and enjoy a fabulous homemade tea. ‘The Lydiard Chronicles’ author and prize winning novelist, Elizabeth St.John will be our guest speaker.
Friends’ International Ambassador, Elizabeth St.John, is joining us from the U.S. to talk about her latest best selling historical novel. ‘The Godmother’s Secret’. The story, inspired by Elizabeth’s St.John ancestors, is interwoven with references to the St.John family of Lydiard Park and draws the reader into a volatile world of royal rivalry, suspicion and subterfuge. The plot revolves around Lady Elizabeth Scrope and the historical mystery surrounding the disappearance of the princes in the Tower.
Elizabeth will be happy to sign copies of ‘The Godmother’s Secret’ purchased on the day, as well as ‘The Lydiard Chronicles’.
All members will receive a letter inviting them to the meeting but if you are not yet a member and would like to join the Friends and attend the event, you are very welcome. Please contact our Secretary:

The event is free but we would be grateful for donations towards your afternoon tea.
