The Friends of Lydiard Park and Lydiard’s small team of dedicated gardeners are teaming up for a big Autumn tidy, cutting back spent plants around the garden’s historic fruit trees and enjoying a seasonal lunch together.
Following the success of our two Walled Garden volunteering sessions this summer, this is a great opportunity to use your gardening skills and meet new friends. You’ll also be able to discover the numerous varieties of historic apples in the garden and sample some delicious flavoured examples. A seasonal picnic lunch is also included.
You will need to be reasonably fit and have sufficient garden knowledge to know what you are doing. It is helpful if you can bring your own secateurs or shears that you are comfortable using.
Spaces are limited to ten people and booking is required. Booking will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
